Sorry for the slow week.
Of all the things I made this week, only one felt good enough to throw onto the blog. I really hate it when that happens. This week will be better, I hope, and I’ve got lots of good ideas based on what we received in our CSA basket this week. If you missed it, last week I got to tour King’s Hill Farm, our CSA provider, and shared the behind-the-scenes story about the farm. I recommend you check it out.
With all this produce to work with this week, here are some of my ideas:
Acorn Squash
Potatoes
- Red Cabbage and Sausage Soup with Potatoes
- Paprika and Thyme Roasted Chicken with Potatoes
- Farro, Brussel Sprout, and Potato Bake (you can sub new potatoes for the fingerlings)
Turnip Greens
- Simple wilt in a pan with butter, kind of like this.
Carrots
- Harissa Spiced Roasted Carrots and Lemons
- Coconut Sweet Potato and Green Lentil Stew with Carrots
- Soy-Glazed Tofu, Carrots, and Mushrooms
Red Bell Peppers
- Cod and Potatoes with Romesco Sauce
- Lemon Artichoke Chicken in a White Wine Sauce
- Chicken Curry Soup
Hot Peppers
Cilantro
