ahhh finally. i’ve been waiting for all the pieces to come together for quite some time with this room.
last night, in-between the doorbell ringing non-stop with trick-or-treaters, we assembled the last piece of furniture that will go here. i am so happy with the end result.
it’s just so nice to be able to have a sitting room without a TV as the focus of the whole room.
plus the light, the wood, and the fireplace.
and the rug! if i could only tell you how long it took us to find that rug…and i was nervous it was going to be too loud but as soon as we got it on the floor we were instantly obsessed.
the gallery wall took some time to get together, but you’ll notice that the Cassidy crest and the antlers stayed. and we had a fun time picking out some impactful photographs from the past. we settled on family photos, one from thailand, one from costa rica, and one from our wedding.
and finally the bookshelf from crate and barrel puts the finishing touch on the room.
all that’s left is getting something on that wood wall above the fireplace. we’ve got some ideas, but it probably won’t happen for a while.
