The deliveries just keep on coming.
Here’s what we got in our CSA basket this week:
So many good things, I didn’t know where to start, so I decided to dump it all in a pile and call this the cornucopia effect. Starting from the top:
- Lots and lots of beautiful kale which I’m going to use in some fruit smoothies. It’s time for a breakfast routine shake up.
- These Japanese eggplants and zucchini are getting grilled and topped with a za’atar vinagrette that I’m modeling after this David Liebovitz recipe.
- Some cucumbers for snacking on or for slicing into salads.
- Caraflex green cabbage which I don’t have a plan for yet.
- These mini onions have so many possible uses, I don’t know which one to choose yet.
- Raspberries. Two handfuls and those will be gone.
- These blue potatoes. Roast with some herbs and garlic? Make a patriotic potato mash for the 4th of July weekend? What will it be?
- And last but not least, a nice sized head of cauliflower. Has anyone tried making these Smitten Kitchen fritters? I like the sound of them.
