This is not my typical recipe.
But stick with me, because it’s summer, and I’m offering you up a smoothie. A smoothie you can drink for breakfast and feel really good about yourself afterwards. Not only because it tastes delicious, but because you’re getting lots of important nutrients and vitamins. I know so because this recipe is from my trainer and friend Erica Doyle, and judging by the amount of credentials after her name, she obviously knows her stuff.
All you do is throw your ingredients in a blender. Like this:
Then liquify and drink. Leave the dishes for later.
Berry Kale Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients
- ½ avocado
- 2 cup combination of frozen blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (use can sub in regular milk)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 large handfuls kale, stems removed
- 1 tablespoon agave
Instructions
- Throw all ingredients in a blender and liquify. If mixture is too thick, add a little more water or milk.
